We are pleased to invite you to our 1st Golf Tournament on the 10th of March 2019 at the exclusive Golf Club Erinvale in Somerset West, South Africa.
This tournament is in favor of Hope and Light which every year is carried out with great success at St. Leon-Rot. (See article)

We are proud to be allowed to organize this event together with Barbara Tofauto, who has received the Federal Cross of Merit for her great work.
It all started off  with a soup kitchen through which she was able to create a kindergarten and a school for children who otherwise hardly would receive a good education.
This with the help of big sponsors like Dietmar Hopp, Ueli Hoeness and all the other small and big donations.

Hope and Light Charity Golf Cup in Golf Club St. Leon-Rot

The donated amount of 100,000 euros for children in need in the Cape region "Give children a future" - this is the slogan of the organization Hope and Light eV, which was founded in 2004 by Barbara Tofaute and has set herself the task to provide comprehensive support to children in Sir Lowry's Pass Village (South Africa) in the form of kindergarten and school sponsorships and to sustainably improve their training opportunities, for example through a school and sports facility. As part of various projects, about 150 school children, 120 kindergarten children and 24 orphans are looked after.

In the framework of the Hope and Light Charity Golf Cup, which took place last Sunday for the third time at the Golf Club St. Leon-Rot, 95 participants took part of the tournament for the good cause. Also included was the president and patron of the Golf Club St. Leon-Rot, Dietmar Hopp, as well as football legend and Bayern president Uli Hoeneß. The participants donated an incredible amount of 100,000 euros, which benefits the work of the organization Hope and Light - Community Welfare. Already last year a considerable donation of 100.000 Euro was collected with this tournament.

Rainer Winge, initiator of the tournament and since 1st of April 2016 CEO of the organization Hope and Light is overwhelmed, "What a great success. I am very happy that so many golfers accepted my invitation and support this good cause. Thank you very much for your extraordinary generosity. I am extremely pleased that we are working together to make it possible for disadvantaged children and adolescents to have a better future, "continues Winge.

The fact that the Golf Club St. Leon-Rot and its members are aware of the social responsibility for people who are less fortunate, is shown again and again in the orientation of numerous charity events. For years, events in favour of needy people have been an integral part of the tournament calendar. In addition to committed members, the organizers of the tournament also include companies and foundations - in total alone, more than one million euros in donations were donated in the past year alone at St. Leon-Rot, who benefited from various projects and institutions.
